Mobile App Development in Thiruvananthapuram
iOS, Android and cross-platform apps, built to ship and be maintained.
We design and build mobile apps end to end: product thinking, interface, the app itself and the backend it talks to. Native where it matters, cross-platform where it saves you time.
Orque Innovations LLP provides mobile app development from Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala, for clients in India, the UAE, Qatar and Malaysia.
What is mobile app development?
A mobile app is software installed on a phone and distributed through the App Store or Google Play. It can be written separately for each platform, or once in a cross-platform framework that produces both. Nearly every app also needs a backend behind it — a server that holds the data, handles accounts and keeps what the app shows in step across devices.
Who it is for
- Customers or field staff who need your service in their hand rather than at a desk
- Work that happens away from an office and is written down now, typed up later
- A business already using a website that is awkward on a phone
- An app that was built once, shipped, and has had no attention since
Building a first product? See how we work with startups.
What it solves
- Reaching people on the device they actually use
- Capturing work where it happens instead of after the fact
- Keeping one source of data behind both the phone and the office
- Keeping an app alive after launch, through OS updates and store rules
What the work covers
- iOS
- Apps for iPhone and iPad, built for the App Store.
- Android
- Apps for Android phones and tablets, built for Google Play.
- Cross-platform
- One codebase serving both stores, where that saves time without costing you what matters.
- App backends
- The server, data and accounts the app talks to.
How mobile app development projects usually run
- Discovery: Who will use the app, what it has to do on day one, and which platforms it needs to run on.
- Design: Screens and flows designed and clicked through as a prototype before any code is written.
- Build: The app and its backend built in small increments, so each one can be tested as it lands.
- Testing: Checked on real phones on both platforms, not only in a simulator, before anything is submitted.
- Release: Store listings prepared and the app taken through App Store and Google Play review.
- Maintenance: Operating-system updates, store rule changes and fixes, for as long as the app is in use.
Why Orque
- We make software of our own: Orque ERP runs day-to-day operations for businesses in the UAE and Qatar, and Orque CRM is live. We know what it takes to keep a product in use, because we do it.
- Design, build and support are one engagement: Not three. The team that scopes the work is the team you reach after launch, and maintenance is planned from the start rather than discovered later.
- Plain answers about cost and time: Cost follows scope and so does the timeline, and we say so. Anyone offering a guaranteed position or a fixed price before a scope is describing something they cannot control.
- Reachable, and on the record: A registered LLP with an office in Thiruvananthapuram, a published phone number and office hours, and recognition from Kerala Startup Mission and Startup India.
Organisations we have worked with include Kerala Bank, Government of Kerala, Saned Medical Relief, Almismar Alaswad Technical Services, Tricult, Kakak Perolehem. Read who we are.
What happens when you get in touch
- Tell us what you need: Use the form, WhatsApp or a phone call. A few sentences about the problem and who will use the software is enough to start.
- A first conversation: We reply with our honest view of the work and the questions we need answered. Talk by phone, or meet us at the office in Kamaleshwaram, Thiruvananthapuram.
- A written scope: What will be built, for whom and in what order, in writing. Then a price and a date worth relying on.
- Built in small increments: Working pieces you can test as they land, then a proper handover, with maintenance planned from the start.

Common questions about mobile app development
- What is the difference between a native app and a cross-platform app?
- A native app is written separately for each platform, in the language that platform expects. A cross-platform app is written once and built for both. Native gives the closest fit to the device and the earliest access to new operating-system features. Cross-platform gives you one codebase to maintain and usually a shorter route to being on both stores. Which is right depends on how much the app leans on device hardware and how long you expect to maintain it.
- Does a mobile app need a backend?
- Almost always. Anything that stores data beyond one device, has accounts, syncs between phones, sends notifications or shows content you update later needs a server behind it. An app that works entirely offline on a single device is the exception. We build that backend alongside the app rather than treating it as a separate project.
- What happens to an app after it launches?
- Operating systems update about once a year and the app stores change their rules more often than that. An app nobody touches after launch will eventually break, or be pulled from sale for failing a requirement that did not exist when it shipped. Maintenance is part of the cost of having an app, not an optional extra.
- Should we build for iOS or Android first?
- It depends on who you are building for rather than on market share in general. Look at what the people you are trying to reach actually carry. If the split is genuinely even and the budget only covers one, that is usually the argument for a cross-platform build rather than for picking a side.
- Can we meet you in Trivandrum?
- Yes. Orque Innovations LLP works from 2nd Floor, Safa Towers, Kamaleshwaram, Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala 695009, India. The office is open Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. To arrange a meeting, call +91 96330 06258 or email orquesolutions@gmail.com. We also work with clients across India, the UAE, Qatar and Malaysia.
- How much does it cost to build a mobile app in India?
- There is no honest single figure, because the cost follows the scope. What moves it most: whether the app runs on one platform, both, or a cross-platform build; how many screens and flows it has; whether it needs a backend with accounts, payments or integrations with other systems; how much custom design it carries; and how long it will be maintained. A written scope is the first useful step, and a quote given without one is a guess.
- How long does mobile app development take?
- It depends on the same things the cost does. A small app with a few screens and no backend is a matter of weeks; anything with accounts, payments and integrations takes months. Store review adds days on top. Because the timeline follows the scope, settling the scope first is what makes a date worth relying on.
